The EEITE conference serves as a platform for scientists in electronics to convene and exchange knowledge within a scholarly framework. Since its inception in 2019, EEITE has aligned with the Erasmus Week activities, providing researchers with an opportunity to showcase their work. Despite challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, the conference adapted, transitioning to online formats and broadening its audience reach. Now, in collaboration with ATHENA European University, EEITE continues its tradition of facilitating academic exchange during the Erasmus Week. The upcoming 4th EEITE conference will coincide with the 10th Erasmus International Week & 2nd ATHENA International Week, hosted by the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Hellenic Mediterranean University from May 15th to 19th, 2023.

2024 ASCO Annual Meeting

The European Innovation Council Summit 2024 is a pivotal part of the Research & Innovation week, set for March 18-19. Day 1 commences with a joint ceremony, leading into Day 2 dedicated exclusively to EIC beneficiaries, featuring essential workshops. Attendees will be inspired by keynote speeches from Europe's innovation pioneers, join networking sessions, and explore a dynamic exhibition showcasing projects funded by the European Innovation Council under various programs. Additionally, participants can engage in four satellite events during Beneficiaries day at Tour & Taxis, focusing on accelerating deep tech startups, ecosystem partnership, EIC Forum Plenary, and peer learning on training and coaching innovative researchers in the EIC T2M group.

The European Research and Innovation Days (R&I Days) 2024 is the European Commission's annual flagship event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond. This edition, taking place on March 20-21, offers a platform to discuss how Europe can become more sustainable and competitive while celebrating the remarkable outcomes achieved in research and innovation since the inception of the first R&I Framework Programme over 40 years ago. Dr. Christos Diou, of RELEVIUM partner Harokopio University, spoke on "AI in Healthcare" at Metropolitan Hospital, Athens, part of the Hellenic Healthcare Group. The talk also featured insights into the RELEVIUM project. Attendees included expert physicians from various specialties, alongside university professors from Athens School of Medicine.

Health and Wellbeing Living Lab Symposium

Topic: Living Labs as Research Infrastructures

Organized by the VITALISE consortium and ENoLL

The VITALISE consortium, together with ENoLL, will be holding an event entitled “Health and Wellbeing Living Lab Symposium,” which highlights the VITALISE project's achievements in harmonizing Living Lab services, emphasizing their role as integral Research Infrastructures. Through collaborative efforts over the past three years, the project has underscored the significance of Living Labs in driving global research. The event aims to facilitate discussions with the European Commission and stakeholders to shape the future of Research Infrastructures, promoting community involvement in co-research. Additionally, it provides a platform to showcase ongoing research conducted within Living Labs. AINIGMA, one of the partners of the RELEVIUM project involved in Product Development, will be participating in the symposium. They will be presenting their research on sarcopenia with the abstract “Sarcopenia detection with portable ultrasound,” which includes their affiliation with the RELEVIUM project and their role in sarcopenia estimation using AI tools.

As Pancreatology undergoes continuous evolution, the 43rd Annual Meeting of the German Pancreas Club presents an opportunity for professionals to engage and discuss these changes within a familiar interdisciplinary environment. Attendees will participate in lectures, poster sessions, a Science Slam, the scientist's toolbox, the pancreas board, and satellite symposia. The "Uncertainty meets Explainability | Workshop and Tutorial" will take place during the 2023 European Conference on Machine Learning. This workshop brings together researchers working at the intersection of ML and natural science and engineering. The technical work presented aligns with RELEVIUM's objectives. 🔍 ML systems in healthcare and finance require accurate predictions and understandable explanations. Combining ·explainability and uncertainty creates reliable AI systems. Exciting innovations include making probabilistic models more interpretable and quantifying the uncertainty in explanations.
